Engagement metric

What is the engagement metric?

Indicator or KPI which measures the degree of commitment and the level of interaction of the audience with the content published by a brand. Examples of engagement metrics are, for example, page views per user, time spent on a site, comments to an article or the number of subscribers, if we are talking about a website or on blog. In the case of Twitter, the number of replies, retweets, quotes and favorites are considered engagement metrics. Likes, comments and shares are measured on Facebook. And on Instagram likes and comments are evaluated. In email marketing the most popular engagement metrics are the opening ratio or the percentage of casualties.
