Favicon concept

What is a Favicon?

A Favicon is a tiny element that appears in all the web browsers that we use. It is the icon that appears in the browser tabs when we enter any web page, identifying it and pointing out to the user who is inside it when he / she looks at each one that has been opened. It also appears in bookmarks or favorites lists.

With square dimensions, normally 16 × 16 pixels or 32 × 32 pixels, this icon is usually the logo of the company or of the main website to which the domain of the page on which you are browsing refers. It is something that, while identifying, transmits the corporate identity of any company through a detail as small as the navigation window.

All current websites use this visual element to reinforce their presence and, fundamentally, to be easily identifiable. At this time, browsing with several tabs open is more than usual, and the favicons are used to establish at a quick glance which web is open in each of them.

It began as something optional and today it is practically necessary. If you are looking for your brand, business or company page to be easily identifiable when it is not within it, it is the most effective method, since it can display the company logo quickly and easy to see.

What is a Favicon for

A Favicon is used to quickly identify the company to which a website belongs or even identify it. It is something that is used fundamentally in web browsers, whether on computers or smartphones and tablets, and that at the same time allows quick identification, it is also used to transmit the corporate image from any company.

It goes a long way in boosting the user experience and easy credentialing by anyone not only while browsing, but also when reviewing lists of favorites, bookmarks, or any other enumeration of websites. Therefore, it is something that makes interaction with the network and with the brand itself much more comfortable.

Favicon Examples

You just have to open your web browser window and start opening several tabs to access different pages. You will automatically see several favicons with icons of the different websites that are being accessed. If you enter our main page, https://neoattack.com, or in any of those that make up our domain, you will have the option to see in the respective tab a small black box with a rectangle divided into 2. That logo is NeoAttack's and, at the same time, the Favicon of our page.
