Can I show the pop-up window in any corner of the screen?

  • Yes, you can control the horizontal (left, center, right) and vertical (top, middle, and bottom) positions of the pop-up window.

Are there predesigned pop-up templates to choose from?

  • Yes! We currently have over 100 beautifully designed Popup templates to choose from.

Can I put a form in a popup window?

  • Yes, placing a Elementor form into a Popup is one of the most common uses for Popups. However, third-party form scripts may not work in Popup Builder by default. If you are using a third party form, such as Contact Form 7 for example, please contact your plugin development team and let them know that they can solve it by implementing the code mentioned in this developer guide. Can I put any Elementor widget in a popup window?

  • Absolutely! Design your Popup the same way you would design any page using Elementor. Include forms, widgets, templates, and other items you want.

Occasionally pop-up margins don't work the way I set them up? Why?

  • There are some extreme cases where the margins set for pop-up windows will be overridden. This is because the flexible alignment of the flexbox grid system is stronger than the margin, so it takes precedence. If you're trying to add a positive right margin, for example, and it's not working, try adding a negative left margin instead.

Can I design the pop-up window itself?

  • Yes. Elementor pop-ups feature the most advanced pop-up design capabilities ever. Set colored, image, or gradient backgrounds for pop-up windows, or design transparent pop-ups. You can also set box borders and shadows for the pop-up window frame. Overlay options for the outer area outside the pop-up include color, image, and gradient background options. Even the button closure can be fully customized. This includes position (inside or outside), vertical and horizontal positioning, color, background color, and size. Almost all of these styling features also include mobile editing, making it easy to customize pop-ups for different devices.

I have designed the content of my popup, so I see the content settings in the Elementor Dashboard. How do I view and edit the popup settings again?

  • Click on the Settings cogwheel icon on the Panel toolbar to view and edit the popup settings again.

Can I activate the popup from anywhere on my page?

  • Yes, we have various triggers, rules, and conditions that determine when a Popup occurs. You can "manually trigger" pop-up windows via Dynamic actions or Form actions after submitting or "automatically activate" pop-up windows via Terms, Triggersand Advanced rules.

I don't want a popup to appear on all devices? Can I control that?

  • Yes, you can choose to only show pop-ups on desktop, tablet, and / or mobile devices via Publish Settings> Advanced Rules> Show on Devices

Can I show some pop-ups on the same page?

  • Of course. Troll your visitors as much as you want.

If I create multiple pop-ups for different scenarios, can I prevent more than one from being displayed to a user?

  • Yes, use Pop-up Settings> Advanced> Avoid Multiple Pop-ups

Can I prevent users from scrolling on the screen behind the popup?

  • Yes, use Popup Settings> Advanced> Disable Page Scrolling

Can I control how and when the popup closes?

  • Yes, there are several ways to control this.
  • You can show or hide the Close button, or set it to only show after a period of time after the popup loads.
  • You can allow the user to close the popup window by clicking outside the window, on the background overlay.
  • You can allow the user to close the popup by clicking the Close button.
  • You can set the pop-up window to close automatically after a set period of time.
  • You can use a form Action after sending option to close a popup window
  • You can use an element Dynamic action to close a pop-up window

Can I only show a popup if the user leaves the page?

  • Yes, the exit intent on the page is a very popular trigger. Setting this will display the pop-up window when the user's mouse activity indicates the intention to exit the page. However, exit intent does not work on mobile devices as mobile devices do not have the ability to hover.

Can I show a popup if the user comes to the page from a search engine?

  • Yes, various advanced rules allow you to control the display of pop-ups based on where the user comes from, including arrival from a URL you specify, or from search engines, external links, and internal links.

Do I have to set advanced conditions, triggers, and rules?

  • No, you do not have to configure any publishing options. However, if you don't configure a trigger, you'll need to assign a dynamic action to open popup on an item's link, such as a button's link. Without a trigger or open popup action assigned, the popup will never be displayed. See how I create my first popup to learn how to trigger a popup when a button is clicked.

Can I open a popup after submitting a form?

  • Yes. In the "Actions after submitting" options on the form, choose "Open Popup" and then select the popup that will be displayed after the form has been submitted.

My form is in a pop-up window. Can the pop-up window be closed automatically once the form is submitted?

  • Yes. Add a form within a pop-up window, then under the "Actions after submitting" options, click "Close pop-up".

What is the difference between a trigger and an advanced rule?

  • Triggers function as direct user actions that initiate, or 'trigger', the display of a pop-up window (ie, click or scroll), while advanced rules determine the requirements that must be met for the pop-up to appear independently of the direct actions of the user (that is, the user page visited at least twice).

What is a condition?

  • The conditions determine where to display the popup (i.e. the entire site, all files, at a specific URL, etc.). Learn more about the conditions.

What is a session?

  • A session begins when the user visits the website and ends when the user closes the browser.

Does it have an A / B test function?

  • We currently do not support A / B testing as this is a field that needs massive attention. We are not currently in the stage of creating a standalone feature, so we recommend using one of the many external dedicated services available for this.

Can I create a multi-step form?

  • No, our form does not currently support multiple steps.

Can I export and import cross-site pop-ups?

  • Yes, popup templates can be imported and exported like all Elementor templates.

Is it possible to create a tooltip popup?

  • No, not at this time.

I have a site in multiple languages. Can I create different pop-ups for each language?

  • Yes. you can also create translations for each Popup.

Does your pop-up feature meet GDPR requirements?

  • Our pop-up function does not store cookies. It takes advantage of the local storage of the browser to track the habits or patterns of its visitors in order to activate the pop-up window. This means that the data is stored only in the visitor's local browser. Learn more about GDPR.

Can I include a popup on my Woocommerce product page?

  • Of course, you can also add upsells and offers to your users throughout the shopping flow.

Does it integrate with marketing platforms and, if so, which one?

Does it work with older versions of iOS?

  • Pop-ups can encounter design issues with iOS 10 or earlier versions.

Does it work with IE browser?

  • No. Pop-ups are not compatible with IE.
