iTunes is the application that Microsoft makes available to us to manage the content of our iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. This application is available for both Windows and macOS, even when it is installed natively for the latter. Thanks to iTunes, we can copy images from our hard drive to the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.

But we can also copy music, ringtones, videos ... As technology progresses, the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch models require more modern computers and equipment to be able to manage the information they contain, so each new version of iTunes needs a few minimums to work.

Today, at the time of writing this post, the oldest version of Windows compatible with iTunes is Windows 7, and from there, so if you need a version compatible with Windows XP, you will not find it directly on the Apple website, so you will have to search the Internet, to see if any website still has it at your service . But this does not mean that the version of iTunes 12.x will not work in Windows XP as long as it is the 64-bit version, since it is the only version that Apple currently offers iTunes for Windows.

If your computer doesn't have the 64-bit version of XP installed, don't bother trying to install it. If you are looking to test if the latest version of iTunes is compatible with Windows XP in its 64-bit version, you just have to download it from here, and try to install as long as your computer is Intel or AMD 1 GHz and with at least 512 MB of RAM, which is equivalent to an Intel Pentium D and a DirectX 9.0 compatible graphics card. At the same time, the minimum resolution should be 1,024 x 768 and have a 16-bit sound card.
