Great Army is a series created by Katie cappiello which saw the light on October 16, 2020 in Netflix. Synopsis

They are in charge of giving life to the 5 students who try to improve and survive at Grand Army High School.

Criticism of Great Army
The series faces mixed reviews from film journalists, but has had a positive reception from viewers. According to some, it is a production with a lot of potential and enough freshness to hook, but it falls into quite common problems such as condescension.
This is how Sonia Saraiya expresses it in her review for the medium Vanity fair.
"A good job with a lot of interesting content about today's teenagers (…) But although their stories are interesting, at the same time they are a bit condescending," he wrote.
Kristen Baldwin (Weekly entertainment) at the same time praises the work done by the directors and their young actors. It detects the flaws, but it does not stop recognizing that it has a lot of value within the Netflix catalog.
“Newcomer Odley Jean delivers an impressive performance (…) Grand Army is ambitious, usually over the top. Even so, it has flashes of beauty, ”he said.
Alexis Gunderson (Rolling Stone) goes much further in his assessment of the series Great Army ensuring that it has much more to offer than other productions with great success in the world of streaming.
"This clever and fascinating drama is not as aggressive or self-indulgent as Euphoria or 13 Reasons Why," he noted.
To finish Daniel Hart (Ready steady cut) warns that Netflix production has everything to establish itself as a benchmark in this genre. Definitely, he notes, it's a must-see for anyone looking to explore these kinds of movies.
"Maybe youth dramas have to be like this in the future, portraying in a crude and realistic way what teenagers suffer," he said.
