Alice at the border is a Japanese science fiction and fantasy series, directed by Shinsuke Sato. It is a Netflix original production that hit the catalog on December 10, 2020. It is part of the streaming service's offensive to include more content from Asian cultures, mainly South Korea and Japan. This series is an adaptation of eponymous manga written and illustrated by Haro Aso, which was first included in the magazine Shōnen Sunday S by Shogakuka, where it remained from November 2010 to March 2015. Synopsis

The story follows three friends named Arisu, Karube Y Segawa. They think they have a very boring life, beyond the fact that they are 3 criminals who go to high school. As part of a fireworks celebration, Arisu dreams of being able to live in a world where there is adrenaline and strong emotions all the time. Surprisingly, their wish comes true and the 3 young men are taken to a parallel world where they must compete in dangerous games with a high probability of dying.
