Programming Language Concept

What is a Programming Language and what does it mean?

A programming language is a collection of instructions and terms, a formal language, which is constructed and used so that a PC or a device can create different types of data. We generally speak of it as the language that the programmer speaks to the machine to create a program of any kind.

There are different kinds of languages, depending on the software you want to create or the instructions to use. Despite the possible differences that these may have, they all have in common being built by a series of semantic and syntactic rules that establish how to "speak", defining both the expressions and the structure and meaning of all the items that compose them.

It is with this type of language that the code is elaborated, debugged or improved when it is being programmed. Understanding each one is something that requires deep preparation and training, since each one is subject to rules that are generally different. However, they all share an essence that helps to understand them slightly despite not having great notions about them.

Without the programming language, the act of programming would be impossible, since neither the rules nor the items to be able to do it would be established. It is something extremely important in these times, in which digital and computing have become the main weapons of any company.

What is a programming language for?

A programming language serves, in the first place, to be able to program. Since there are many different programming languages, We could finally find out that each one serves something different, and it is more or less like this. For example, HTML and JavaScript are languages that are used in the field of web design and development, along with CSS. In spite of everything, C and C ++ are absolutely focused on software development.

There are more cases, but they all have the same objective. Thus, from a business perspective, language is what enables the programmer to make a website work and build it from scratch, or develop an app for iOS and Android.
