¡Instagram apaga mi dispositivo móvil y no sé qué hacer!
The bug seems exclusive to the Instagram application on some Android terminals and almost everyone agrees with the behavior of the mobile device; When trying to upload a photo to Instagram, the app crashes and the mobile device reboots.
Possible solutions to the mobile device restarting issue when trying to post photos to Instagram.
The main idea of the post is to gather in one place a list of possible solutions, starting with the simplest, until reaching the last resource.
As these are basically recommendations and even when they are not techniques that put the integrity of your mobile device at risk, we wish to make it clear that we are not responsible for the effects that these may have on your terminal. I clarify this, if you are desperate looking for a solution to this problem, here is a list of recommendations that we hope will be useful to you.
- Try uploading photos with lower quality/resolution. Sometimes the problem can come from the resolution of the photo itself, especially if you use a high resolution SLR camera to take the photos and later transfer them to your mobile device to upload them to Instagram.
The application overloads the mobile device's RAM memory when it has to process a photo with such a resolution. If your cell phone does not have a good RAM capacity (minimum 1Gb), it is very likely that it does not have the capacity to process images with resolutions higher than 3264 × 2448 pixels. - Uninstall all apps you have downloaded and don't use. Even if your first impression is that it's the Instagram app itself that's causing your smartphone to shut down, chances are you're wrong.
We return to the problem from before, the more active applications there are in your terminal, the more RAM it will be consuming, leaving very little room for the applications that you are using at that moment. - Perform a clean install of the app. When we say "clean" we mean that you remove all data from the app before uninstalling it. For this you must go to the menu «Manage applications" in "Settings> Applications>Manage applications»(The menu design may vary slightly on some Android models) and then search for Instagram among the list of downloaded applications. Once you find the app, click on it and do the following in this order:
- Click on "Delete data«
- Click on "clear cache«
- Click on "Force closing«
- And finally click on «Uninstall«
With this you make sure you have performed a clean uninstall, now you just need to download and install the Instagram application on your cell phone and try uploading photos again.
- Go back to previous versions of Instagram for Android. This option is a last resort and involves some risks, it is not a recommended alternative, so you are solely responsible if a failure occurs in your terminal.
Having said that, our obligation is to teach you how to install previous versions of Instagram to avoid the failure that causes the application to turn off your mobile device. To do this you must:- Download the file "apk»De la versión anterior. Puede descargar todas las versiones de la aplicación Instagram desde el portal Web from Android Drawer.
- Connect your smartphone to your computer and copy the file apk of Instagram in any folder, ideally one that is easy to find.
- Disconnect your cell phone and open the file explorer, if you don't have one, you can install the app «ES File Explorer«. Then find the folder where you copied the apk from the previous version of Instagram.
- Once you've found the file, just open it for it to install. Make sure you have performed a clean uninstall of the latest version of Instagram you have installed, before installing the apk Discharged.
If all went well, you will now have an older version of Instagram installed. You should only try to upload a photo to see if the problem has been solved.
Although this last option solves your problem, it does not mean that you are free to experience other failures derived from having an outdated version of Instagram installed. In case you don't remember, updates to the app are made to, among other things, fix bugs in previous versions. At the same time, having to resort to an external platform like Android Drawer to download the apk of the version in question, it also exposes you to the file apk you download is infected.
Even so, we hope that one of these 4 options will help you avoid Instagram restarts your mobile device when you try to upload a photo, and if in any case it doesn't solve the problem, at least you've ruled out all possible alternatives first.
