Error status 0xc000035a, you try to load a 64-bit application, but this CPU does not support 64-bit mode. This error can occur with display products such as a VMware Product or a virtual product when installing a 64-bit application. There is nothing to worry about. It all depends on your hardware configuration. See the figure below to get a real picture of the problem.
If you are sure that your computer's processor supports the virtualization feature, basically enable it in your computer's BIOS. You can enter BIOS during Power On Self Test (POST) when you start/reboot your computer and there are different keys supported by Dell, HP, Lenovo, Acer, IBM, etc.
- For Dell, press F2.
- For Acer, press F2.
- For HP Press F10
You need to enable VT-x/AMD-V and certainly nested paging in your virtual machine settings.
In my version of VirtualBox, this can be done via:
- Shutting down the VM
- Right click on the virtual machine.
- Go to the System section.
- Click the Acceleration tab.
- Check “Enable VT-x / AMD-V” and “Nested Paging”.
- Click "OK" below to store your settings.
After enabling it in VirtualBox, you should now be able to start Windows Server 2008 if your operating system and CPU settings are correct.
Check the BIOS
Open Bios and make sure vt-x is enabled.
If this was not the case, you need to delete the virtual machine in the virtual box and create a new one……… You will now see an option for Windows 7 and Windows 7 (64-bit).
After deleting and rebuilding the virtual machine, you can explore it. Changing the parameters of the existing VM didn't seem to accomplish the intended goal.
Format the hard drive
Your computer's hard drive stores important files, programs, and data that your company can't do without.
Reformat and recovery
1. Insert the Windows System Repair disc into the computer's floppy drive. Restart the computer.
2. Press any key when prompted. Click Next to open the Install Windows page. Select your language and other settings, then click Next.
3. Click "I accept the license terms", then "Next".
4. Click Custom Options and Player Options (Advanced). Click the hard drive you want to format, then click Format. The formatting time depends on the size of the hard drive. When the procedure is complete, Windows stops installing on your computer.
