David Rooney (The Hollywood Reporter) warned that it is a very powerful production and that it will certainly divide the population because of its rudeness.

"To call it sinister is an understatement (...) The public may be divided on the cruelty of Franco's approach, but as a call for a more equitable distribution of wealth and power, it is terribly fascinating," he wrote.

Similarly, Peter Debruge (Variety) celebrates Franco's cynicism and honesty to arm a revolution of the lower classes in the face of the exhaustion of oppression.

"A controversial and deeply cynical vision of how a revolution should unfold (…) The director demands the public's attention, launching a total assault on our collective comfort zone (…) does not disappoint," he declared.

Fernando Bustos (Washington Post) at the same time underscores the value of this film in urging the public to debate something that feels urgent.

"If Parasites served to criticize capitalism and the division of social classes, New Order will be a film that will contribute to anger at the banality with which it portrays such a problematic and urgent spectrum to discuss," he said.

Apart from this, Carlos Aguilar (The Playlist) considers that what could be interpreted as a fantasy scenario, is closer to becoming reality than many might think.

“A brilliantly shocking look (…) that reads more like an omen than a wild fantasy (…) It guts you with the worst of human nature, as Franco usually does, but on a larger socio-political scale and therefore is absolutely unshakable« he commented.
