Criticism of Bronx

Juan Serba (Decider) only has negative comments for a production that it fails to lift at any point.

“I don't totally lose my patience with these kinds of movies, but I quickly lost my patience with the Bronx, with its cast of relentless scowls, ever-shifting loyalties, absence of real characters, and pervasive cynicism about the state of the human soul, which is so fragile, so easy to coerce, so often full of holes… ”he wrote.

Elisabeth Vincentelli (New York Times) at the same time regrets the path taken by Marchel's latest film.

“Unfortunately, the Bronx is an ineffective mess. This is somewhat surprising coming from Marchal, a former police officer turned screenwriter and director who displayed talents as a storyteller while exploring shady moral dilemmas in movies like The 36 and TV shows like Braquo, ”he noted.
