Social Selling

Social Selling Concept

What is Social Selling?

Social Selling is the concept that is used to talk about the use of social networks that companies make in order to convert users into leads and, from there, make them become customers and buy your products or hire your services. It is a strategy that has taken shape as a result of the birth of social networks and has gained special importance with its overcrowding.

Its main difference from the Social Commerce is that, while it also seeks to improve the user experience throughout the purchase procedure; Social Selling seeks to create such a presence on social networks that, instead of offering the sale to users, they decide to buy from a specific brand. That is, it seeks to reach leads indirectly, either by extending its presence by growing in followers, going viral content or basically forging a quality image.

It requires the coordination of communication actions, content marketing, branding and all the fields that can be involved in the social field to reinforce the presence of a company. Prepare quality content, disseminate it through social networks, carry out independent initiatives in each network or other participatory ones. There are many manifestations of Social Selling, but they all come together to reach the same point, the purchase by the user, making the public become another customer for the brand.

What is Social Selling for?

Social Selling serves two main things, even though its goal is, as we have already said, to obtain a sale in a company. It increases the presence of any brand in social networks and, especially, generates an image and an influence such that, in one way or another, they manage to make the audience think of said brand when requiring a product or service related to their sector .

That is their main goal, to have so much presence that the audience recognizes and thinks about the firm in the first instance, so that they can use their services or products if they need them. Pursue the purchase, not the sale.
