Sales Process

Sales Process Concept

What is the Sales Process?

The sales process are all the steps that a business, brand or company has to carry out from the moment a user becomes a lead until the final transaction is formalized and the product is carried out or the indicated services are contracted. It goes from the attraction and the wake-up call, to the completion of the sale.

It is a cycle that, within marketing, is usually reflected as a funnel, the sales funnel, and that at the same time is divided into several parts that define it from the beginning to the end. There are several interesting models to define it, even though here we are going to adjust to one of the most popular: AIDA.

  • A - Attention: the company tries to capture the eyes of the public so that they become leads given the interest in their product or the service they provide. This is where business promotion usually kicks in.
  • I - Interest: at this stage, the firm must ensure that, after drawing attention, interest in what it offers is aroused. You have to make the lead begin to see your proposals as the most appropriate.
  • D - Desire: the consumer now wants to get hold of the product because he considers it totally necessary. It can be finished off by showing the benefits or adding reasons why you might be interested.
  • A - Action: it is time to proceed with the sale. The consumer is practically already a customer and is going to get the product, giving rise to the desired transaction from the first moment.

What is the Sales Process for

The sale process is used so that a company can determine the appropriate planning with which to maximize profit by reducing investment. By studying your audience and analyzing needs, you can shape the appropriate strategies to make this procedure the most optimal feasible and, therefore, help increase revenue.

In turn, it is something that serves to know the modus operandi of each firm. It allows a simple analysis of the competition to be able to carry out similar measures or propose much better alternatives.
