Flyer

Flyer concept

What is a Flyer?

A Flyer is an Anglo-Saxon definition that is used to talk about all that small-sized brochure that is used to host a commercial message. It can be made of paper or any other similar material, but it must always have small dimensions and commercial character as the predominant items.

The origin of this word comes from World War II and the English verb “Fly” (to fly). As a concept, it was born during that time, since it was used to talk about the propaganda brochures that airplane pilots threw over enemy territory to reinforce their presence and launch a certain threat to their rivals.

In the beginning, or rather in the following years, it was characterized by being thrown from heights in cities as a massive and direct commercial promotion campaign. It has in its favor being an element that allows to transmit a direct message, without intermediaries, since the brand gives it to the potential client directly, allowing them to inform them of what they are interested in effectively.

With more than 50 years of history, this element is part of many modern marketing campaigns. Although it can be invasive in the eyes of the consumer, its capacity to inform and deliver is so high that it is still used when you want to send a message to a large number of people and quickly, through a physical format.

What is a Flyer for?

A Flyer serves especially to obtain the objectives of a company at the advertising level. Since its nature is nothing other than propaganda, all the companies that use it do so for the same purpose. Its effectiveness, more than proven, guarantees it at the same time as a more than useful resource when you want to promote a product or a service and make it known to consumers.

In its favor it has the fact that it is small in size and can be given easily, something that augurs low costs for the company. In the same way, it ensures that the public sees the content or at least recognizes the brand, since it is delivered directly. Thus, it helps to give visibility, be it of the service, the product or the company itself.
