If you can't edit because you come across a never-ending Elementor upload page, you can fix the problem by enabling Elementor Safe Mode.
What does safe mode do?
Safe mode helps identify any issues that interfere with Elementor loading. In most cases, loading issues are caused by plugin or theme conflicts. Safe mode allows you to check if the problem persists even after disabling plugins and themes, and pinpoint the possible cause of the problem.
How to enable safe mode
If you are a site administrator with administrator privileges, you can enable Safe Mode two ways:
- Go Elementor> Tools and select Enable in the Safe Mode drop-down menu, and then click the Save changes button or
- Click on the Enable Safe Mode button that appears when the editor cannot load.
Note: Safe mode can only be activated by site administrators (that is, users with administrator privileges), because only they can disable plugins. If you don't get the Enable Safe Mode option, ask your site administrator to turn on Safe Mode and fix the problem for you. In the case of a multi-site configuration, only super administrators can enable safe mode.
Note: Safe mode only affects logged in users while using Elementor editor, and has NO effect on site visitors or other logged in users. For them, the site will work as usual, with the normal theme and plugins activated.
Note: Safe mode only helps to solve problems with the Elementor editor itself. It does not help resolve issues that prevent the widget panel from loading or issues that occur at the front of the site, such as changes not appearing online.
Once you have verified that safe mode helped, now is the time to debug Safe Mode to find and fix the plugin or theme problem.
