What is the Open Rate?

The Open Rate is a Index with which the number of people who have opened an email is quantified. Within email marketing, it is one of the basic metrics with which the campaign performance, given that it indicates the effectiveness and attractiveness of the applied strategy and the degree of success with respect to the interests of the target public.

Its calculation is quite easy. To find this ratio, all you have to do is do some easy math with which to divide the total number of open emails by the total sent and multiply by one hundred to get the percentage. The formula, as we have already indicated, is done in a matter of seconds and the result is quite important when reviewing the performance of the campaigns.

Constantly recording it and assessing how it progresses over time is a fairly common process in the field of email marketing. From this dynamic, those responsible for strategies can assess whether they are simply acting appropriately and getting closer to users or if, otherwise, they are not knowing how to hit the right spot to capture their interest and thus obtain both leads and customers.

Almost a quarter of the total have opened the mail, a percentage that is close to the frequent average.
