Sandbox concept
What is the Google Sandbox?
The Sandbox is more than a definition used within the video game sector. Its about period of time in which Google tests all those web pages that have been created recently. Many define it as a quarantine period in which the portal in question goes through a deep analysis with which the search engine determines its validity and positioning.
The search engine goes completely into all those newborn portals to check if they comply with those standards that it considers appropriate for good user experience. That is, it detects if its content is of quality, if it has an influential character and, definitely, if it does not put into practice spam techniques or anything that is abusive and harms consumers.
The pages within the sandbox are indexed, but they do not yet have a rank. The search engine places them among the results, but has not yet determined which is the given that they deserve to have, or what is the same, which is the position that corresponds to them. It is a procedure that, at the same time, can have an extension of between 3 and 6 months, even when there are cases that have even approached a year.
Its variability is something that depends on numerous factors, but many of them fall on the shoulders of the web itself. There is no exact science for getting out of the sandbox fast; but it is known that, if you buy a domain that already existed, if you get links of pages with good authority And, if good quality content is produced, it can even be released in a month.
What is the Sandbox for
The Sandbox is used to start with a good position only those portals that simply deserve it. Hundreds, if not thousands, of new websites are created daily with all kinds of structures, content and forms; but many of them have totally harmful purposes for the user experience.
Google proposed this system to avoid that those places that resort to spam or that, basically, did not offer something of quality, will take much longer to appear in the search results, or do not appear directly. It is a filtering procedure that helps to have a cleaner network.
Sandbox examples
Any newly opened web page automatically falls into this “sandbox” of Google. The website of our agency, NeoAttackIt also went through that trial period after its opening, since it is something that entails each and every one of the websites that open their doors on the Internet, especially those that start from a completely new domain.
After a few months, the portal begins to appear positioned and, therefore, outside the Sandbox.
