Collateral Marketing Concept
What is Collateral Marketing?
Collateral Marketing, better known in Spain for its translation, Collateral Marketing, is the set of materials and resources used to support the sales campaign of a product or a service. All newsletters, brochures, visual, sound items or any other that is involved in the advertising movement orchestrated by a company to promote its services falls within this concept.
Even though it is something with infinity of manifestations, some quite remarkable types are the business cards, the informative bulletins, the brochures or even the emails that are sent with the mailing campaigns, or the images and / or contents that are within these . All those items without which it would be impossible to make a marketing proposal illustrate what collateral is.
Thanks to this, in addition, those responsible for the campaigns can keep some of these materials for future initiatives. The reuse or reinvention of materials is something very common in this sector, and in many others, allowing to start from a base already made to only improve it or take advantage of it in a different environment. You just have to think, for example, how any business reuses its business cards or even those pamphlets that can reach our mailboxes day in and day out.
A concept that serves to define something basic and fundamental, but not for that reason unimportant. Collateral Marketing is more present than we think, and surrounds us in each and every one of the advertising campaigns that are launched.
What is Collateral Marketing for
Collateral Marketing serves to shape any promotional movement. Since it consists of all those materials and resources that are used to mobilize or shape a campaign, without them it would be impossible to build it and give it the shape it has.
Its purpose is none other than to be used to capture an idea or reflect what is desired with the commercial promotion. In reality, for many firms it can also be a good way to get inspired by future initiatives or save money by reusing something already done previously.
Examples of Collateral Marketing
As examples of Collateral Marketing we can think about what builds a newsletter by NeoAttack. Those emails that are part of the mail marketing branch of our agency are, in turn, part of this collateral marketing that we are talking about.
It could also be an infographic used to present our way of working in web design, or a spot that could appear on platforms such as YouTube, as well as the images and video material that build it. All those pieces that build a campaign.
