Faq: running Elementor Free and Elementor Pro plugins

P: Si compro Elementor Pro, ¿debo eliminar el plugin gratuito después de instalar el plugin Pro?

A: You should do not remove the free plugin. Elementor Pro is a free version plugin. The Elementor Pro plugin cannot work without the free plugin.

Q: I had a problem and the helpdesk recommended that I deactivate or remove the Elementor plugins and reactivate or reinstall them. Will that destroy all the hard work I did?

A: The work you did with Elementor will not be removed when the plugin is removed. When you reactivate or reinstall the Elementor plugin, all your designs will still be available as they were before the plugin was removed. Of course, we recommend always having a recent backup of your site, in case something goes wrong. This is the best practice for any situation.

Q: What happens if I remove the Pro version but keep the free version? Will my site lose any of the advanced designs I made with the Pro features?

A: If you disable or remove Elementor Pro, your site will not be able to display the advanced layouts you created with Elementor Pro. Any layout created with the standard free version of Elementor will continue to work. However, if you reactivate or reinstall Elementor Pro, your designs created with Pro will appear once again.

Note: There is a difference between deactivating the plugin and deactivating the license. As mentioned, deactivating the plugin will mean that your site will no longer display the designs you created with the Pro plugin. So what happens if you deactivate or do not renew only the Pro license, but keep the Pro plugin activated? See the next question for the answer.

Q: What happens if I don't renew my license after one year? Will Elementor Pro still work?

Your existing project will remain intact, as is, for now, but will no longer receive support, updates, and access to premium templates that require renewal.
