When using the built-in Vudu player app on the TV, the player crashes after a few minutes with the error message “Sorry, the video player is no longer working. Try again."

El único contents de Vudu que se reproduce es su promoción comercial (si está viendo una película gratis).

Clean the cache of browser

First check your connection and make sure you are using a wired connection. An Ethernet connection is always preferable to a Wi-Fi connection, especially when streaming.

Also disable all VPN/proxy solutions as they don't seem to work with VUDU. If you come from an area without support, you will hardly be able to use it.

Since there are currently two alternatives to access VUDU drive in Windows 10, we decided to use both. Of course, this solution is valid for a browser-based reader. If you are having difficulties with streaming, you should try that first.

Like any browser, it tends to stack most of the cache and store it locally. This will eventually lead to a deterioration in performance. And this is fundamentally bad when it involves streaming online.

Resetting the app to factory defaults

However, if you use the app, the analog action is to reset it to factory settings. This can be useful for a number of reasons, the main one being corruption of locally cached files. So before reinstalling the VUDU app, try to reset it.

Use an optical audio cable.

Connect an optical audio cable if you have not yet switched from the TV to the receiver. Go to System Options in the TV menu. Go to terminal settings. Select Audio Settings: if you are using the Wi-Fi set to Bitstream. Go to Output Selection and change to Variable. Set your receiver to "TV". From there, it should work.

Choose SD quality

If you can't load a track in high resolution (HDX), try a downgrade and it should work. We are aware that this is not a solution by itself, but some language users have experienced crashes with this configuration alone. And that is VUDU support. In the meantime, try a lower quality and it might work.
