With the launch of Windows 8.x, Microsoft introduced a function that allows us to record the screen of our PC without having to install any third-party application thanks to the Xbox Game Bar, a bar that at the same time, enables us to stream games over the Internet. However, this option is not available in earlier versions of Windows.

If you want to record the screen of your computer managed by Windows 7 or earlier, we are forced to install third party apps if we want quality in the recordings. If not, we can use some websites that offer us this function, something that I personally do not recommend.

One of the best solutions to record screen in Windows 7 and earlier versions goes through use VLC app. VLC is an open source application, totally free that allows us to reproduce any audio and video format, making it the best application available on the market for these purposes.

But, at the same time, it also incorporates a series of functions that many users are unaware of. One of them enables us to record the screen of our equipment, another enables us download videos from the internet. En este post nos vamos a centrar en mostrarte los pasos a seguir para grabar la pantalla de nuestro equipo.
