You can customize both your desktop and its aesthetics to your liking. But it is feasible that we have young children and creating a user account is not enough reason to complicate our lives when we have access to our computer.

If we do not have different user accounts on our computer, it is likely that we do not want the smallest of the house to experiment and modify the mouse pointer icons every two times. Luckily we can have access to the Windows registry to prevent anyone who has access to our computer from being able to customize the different icons shown in our version of Windows to your liking.

Block access to mouse pointers for editing

Again we have to have access to the registry to avoid unwanted changes in the pointer of our mouse. For this, we go to Cortana's search box and type Regedit and run it. Later we go to the next route:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER SOFTWARE Políticas Microsoft Windows

If we have not previously accessed this section, we will have to create a new 32-bit DWORD value with the name NochangingMousePointers. Next we go to Value information and enter the value 1 in hexadecimal base. Later we restart and go to the mouse properties, where from now on, the pointer properties will no longer be displayed, tab with which we could modify your icons.
