Transmedia concept
What is Transmedia?
Transmedia is a narrative strategy that is based on dividing content into different parts to spread it separately on different media, platforms or supports both online and offline. Each of the parts is complementary to the rest, so that, to have a global perspective, it is necessary for the consumer to go through all the pieces left by the responsible company spread over the different environments.
This operation requires the user to commit and get involved, since it is a much more considerable effort to have to go through the entire route devised. Despite everything, with the facilities offered by the internet and social networks today, following these strategies is much easier for both parties.
A proposal that eradicates passivity for both the sender and the receiver and that allows us to deepen at different levels within the same narrative. Its background is to be, more than the development of a story or an argument, to offer the consumer an experience that invites them to be an active part of it, to immerse themselves in it and to enjoy it in a very different way than usual.
Using a Transmedia strategy usually involves a higher cost than using a linear one, but its impact is also usually much greater than that of the others. At the same time, consumers feel much more attracted and engaged, since it is up to them to see how deep what is being told them is deepened.
What is Transmedia for?
Transmedia serves to build unique experiences for the user and make him participate in a narrative that envelops him much more and attracts him to what a brand proposes. A proposal that opens the door to total imagination to use different languages and media to communicate any idea, but which at the same time is capable of creating a community around the firm.
Thus, it consists of something that allows companies to get much closer to their audience and keep them interested in possible products or services. It arouses interest, attracts glances and, in this way, it becomes a very powerful tool in terms of visibility, but also in terms of customer loyalty.
