Isologo concept
What is an Isologo?
An Isologo is the term used to speak of the kind of logo in which the text and the icon make up the image, but which are fused and are totally inseparable. In this circumstance, they are two items totally and wonderfully united, so that both complement each other perfectly.
This is what we place so much emphasis on is what differentiates this element from the imagotype. In the latter, the symbol and the text can go separately, giving rise to both the logo and the isotype; In spite of everything, there is no room for separation in the isolog, since the design would break down and lose its ability to be recognizable.
It is the fourth category of logos, which is normally left out of the main 3 due to its unique character and that requirement. In fact, it is the most complex concept that designers work with, since it prevents the separation with which the other two logos would be achieved with which to continue to penetrate the consumer's mind.
There are many large companies that use this and that, in reality, have the Isologo as the only representative symbol. It may seem like a risky and impractical maneuver; but well implemented it is perfect for corporate identity.
What is an Isologo for?
An Isologo serves to, in conjunction with the above, finish shaping the identity of a company or a brand. The combination of text and image becomes a total fusion, which helps to convey the name of the firm with ease, but also makes the public associate any symbol similar to it.
Its usefulness is none other than facilitating accreditation by the audience and allowing the presence to be more notable. If you design something original and above all eye-catching, you get a greater attraction of consumers and, therefore, more opportunity to have leads that are translated into customers. In the same way, it also helps to reinforce the presence and identification of the brand in any viable format and medium.
