Many Origin users have recently encountered an error when trying to connect to Origin. I get an error message: "Online login is currently unavailable."

If this happens to you, you may be very frustrated, but the good news is that you should be able to fix it easily. We have collected some fixes for you to try.

Absolutely restart Origin

This is the first thing to try if you see the “Login not available” error. It basically resets Origin completely:

  1. Right-click the Origin icon in the notification area, then click Quit Origin.
  2. Open Origin and try to connect to your account.

Asegúrese de que Origin esté autorizado por su protección antivirus y firewall.

Los puertos son puntos finales entre dos conexiones. Se asigna un número de puerto, como una dirección, en cada extremo para controlar el flujo del traffic from Internet.

If you're having trouble connecting to one of our online games, and you've tried to fix basic problems, you may need to open some ports on your network connection.

Configuring ports on a computer allows you to enter your router's settings. The steps are different for each router.

If you require assistance, we suggest you contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP).

Using a VPN

Luckily, there is a solution to get online: currently unavailable message that still works. All you need is a VPN.

Then start your VPN and define your position in another country. As an example, Spain. Login now as usual.

That is all? That's it? Good. That's the tricky part. Now you need to disable your VPN. Hopefully, if it works, you'll still be logged in and able to play as usual.

EA also suggested the use of a VPN and mobile hotspot. We do not suggest this last option so that you do not receive a phone bill at the end of the month, which would prevent you from receiving a phone bill with a lot of data.

Reset Internet Explorer settings

You can reset Internet Explorer settings to the settings they had when you first installed Internet Explorer on your computer. This is useful for fixing issues that may be caused by settings that have been changed after installation. Please note that this procedure cannot be undone and all previous Internet Explorer settings will be lost after the reset.

  1. Close all open windows and programs.
  2. Open Internet Explorer, select Tools > Internet Options.
  3. Select the Advanced tab.
  4. In the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box, select Reset.
  5. If you're sure you want to reset all Internet Explorer settings, select Reset.
  6. When Internet Explorer has finished applying default settings, choose Close and click OK. Restart your computer to apply the changes.

Disable pop-up blockers in Internet Explorer

This is another Internet Explorer solution that works quite well when combined with the above method. It's not clear why the popup blocker might interfere with Origin, but it has worked for many users, so give it a try!

  1. Open Internet Explorer on your computer by searching for it on your desktop or in the Start menu.
  2. Click on the speed icon in the upper right corner. In the menu that opens, click Internet Options to open a list of your connection settings.
  3. If you don't have access to Internet Explorer, open Control Panel by searching for it in the Start menu or by using Windows key + R, type “control.exe” in the Run box, then click OK to launch Control Panel.
  4. In Control Panel, select View As: Category in the upper right corner and click Network and
  5. Internet button to open this section. In this window, click Internet Options to enter the same screen you would use to open Internet Explorer.
  6. Go to the Privacy tab and check the Pop-up blocking section. Uncheck the Enable Pop-up Blocker checkbox next to it.
  7. Make sure you accept the changes you've made and restart your computer before verifying that you can now connect to Origin without any issues.
