Why does my computer have an ASP.NET account?
The account does not allow remote or interactive connection and only has guest level privileges. Therefore, it cannot be applied by anyone else or by Microsoft to connect to your computer. If you use your computer for personal use only (that is, you are not a software developer who must develop and test software using Internet Information Services (IIS)), you can delete this account in one of the following ways:
1) Delete the account and leave the .NET Framework installed:
– Start the computer management tool in the Administrative Tools folder (in Control Panel).
– Select the Local Users and Groups node.
– Click the Users subnode and select the ASPNET account.
– Right-click on the chosen account and select Delete.
2) Uninstall the .NET Framework (Note: this will prevent applications that use the .NET Framework from working):
– Open Control Panel
– Open Add/Remove Programs.
– Select Microsoft.NET Framework 1.1.
– Click Modify / Delete. One of these approaches completely removes the account from your system.

Reinstalling the .NET Framework
The account is created due to some configuration errors during the initial installation of the .NET Framework. However, a reinstall removes it automatically. Therefore, we suggest that you download the framework back to your computer and try to install it from the executable file. He will tell you that it is already installed and ask if you want to reinstall it. Select Reinstall and the account will be removed automatically.
