Windows 10 computers come with Microsoft Store installed by default. It's the app store, which the creators hoped would be the go-to store for users. Even though many users do not use it and download their applications from other sources. Therefore, for many it may be interesting to deactivate this store.

Next we are going to show you the steps to follow in order to disable Microsoft Store on your Windows 10 computer. Thus, if you do not use the store or basically find it annoying, you will be able to get rid of it in a simple way.

Windows 10 doesn't give us a direct way to remove this store, even though there is a way it is feasible to do it. We can do it from the Windows registry. It is recommended before you start that you create a system restore point. We have shown you how to make one, in this link.

Abrimos un client potencial de ejecución (Win + R) y lanzamos el comando regedit en él. Se abre el registro, donde tenemos que ir a esta ruta: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE Policies Microsoft. There we have to check if there is a Microsoft Store registry key that would be called WindowsStore. If not, we create one, pressing the right button and a new key.

Once created, we have to give it a value. We select WindowsStore and right click. We will have several options and we choose New and later Value DWORD of 32 bits. We have to give it a name, which would be RemoveWindowsStore. When we do this, we double click and assign it a value of 1.

Then we can close the Windows 10 registry. If necessary, which in some cases may be, we will have to restart the computer. When we access again we will see that the Microsoft Store has been completely deactivated.
