Run SFC scan
Run the Windows Self-Test Tool to check for automatic scanning and repair of corrupted files in Windows. Here is a tutorial on how to do it. You must run an elevated flag (elevated means run as administrator) and have SFC / SCANNOW access. This generates a statement that indicates if errors were found in the operating system and if they were recoverable.
