Compatible with Windows 10 computer Xbox game controller. You can connect it to your computer and play games that support it. You can also play Xbox games on your computer and use the controller to play when your Xbox One console and computer are far away. Regardless, the controller often doesn't seem to work properly, and if it does, you may need to calibrate the Xbox One controller on Windows 10. That's precisely what we'll talk about in this guide.

Calibrate the Xbox One controller

You'll know if your Xbox One controller requires calibration if you're having gaming issues on your computer. Sometimes the trigger doesn't release in time or something is wrong with the controller shaft. They all lead to random movements during the game.

You have two options. You can reset the controller to default settings or you can try calibrating it. We recommend that you do it later.

    • Connect the Xbox controller to your computer via USB cable.
    • Para asegurarse de que su computadora lo reconozca, abra el Administrador de dispositivos. (VICTORIA + X + M). Si no lo ve, haga clic derecho en su ordenador y busque cambios de hardware
    • Open Control Panel > Control Panel All Devices and Printers in Control Panel.
    • Right click on the controller icon and select game controller properties
  • You have two tabs here:
    • First, you can test all the keys and triggers on the controller and see if they react again.
    • Secondly, you can reset or calibrate it to default settings. Choose later
  • This starts a wizard that calibrates your control axes.
  • During operation, you will be prompted to press different keys, sometimes leave axes unchanged and so on.
  • You will see many rotation instructions for X axis, Z axis, Dpad and you will need some time to complete them.
  • When you are done, you can now test the first tab we skipped above to see if your controller is calibrated correctly.

If this still doesn't work, you can reset the driver. We had this option in Gamepad Settings.

This should fix your Xbox One calibration issue on a Windows 10 computer. If you are still having problems, you can connect to an Xbox and try changing this setting on Xbox One. Xbox One allows you to assign different buttons and swap them if you are used to these types of configurations.
