Cleaning temperature folder

Catroot2 stores all certified Windows drivers to download and install Windows updates.

If these files are damaged, Windows Update may fail. However, if you delete it, Windows will re-create the folder containing protected system files that are not damaged, and hopefully your problem will be resolved.

If you can't install Windows Updates on Windows XP or Windows Vista, try the above method to rename the catroot2 folder. Don't basically delete what's in the folder, because that won't work.

Click the Start orb button, type cmd in the Search all programs and files box, right-click cmd.exe, and then click Run as administrator. Accept the UAC prompt.

At the command prompt, type the following commands, and then press ENTER after each command. Enter the spaces, since the commands must be precisely the same. Additionally you can right click and paste the message:

net stop cryptsvc cryptsvc cryptsvc
system root% 2 catroot2 edb.log * .tst * .tst
net start cryptsvc cryptsvc cryptsvc
advent
