Please note that this game was originally released many years before Windows 10. As such, it was not designed for use with Microsoft's latest operating system. Luckily, it's not a barrier, because you can easily configure the Prototype 2 executable to work like an old infrastructure in Windows 7.

- Open Explorer and find the folder where you installed Prototype 2. In the game folder, right-click prototype2.exe and select “Properties” from the context menu.
- In the “Properties” menu, click the “Compatibility” tab at the top of the vertical menu. Afterwards, check the Run this program in compatibility mode checkbox and then select Windows 7 from the drop-down menu.
