Most Samsung users have the application installed natively on our terminals Samsung TTS. Let's say it is the same, but manufactured in Samsung.
Well, the fact is that neither one nor the other, both are a disaster. Today's blog post is worth constructive criticism for both Google and Samsung. Do you really think you can bring this horrible voice synthesis to market? For the love of God, doesn't anyone test these apps before they launch?
And as if to show a button, and even though you already know that I am not very given to making videos, today I was encouraged by what they say that an image is worth a thousand words.
Menu> Settings> Language & input> Text-to-speech output
note: the videos were taken with a Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300.
Well, now that we are clear about how one or the other alternative is activated, let's see how a fragment of the prologue of the book 'La Celestina' is read with the option of Google synthesis.
note: excuse me, I have recorded the videos from another phone and forgot to turn off the noise reduction and it is thus very quiet. I recommend that you turn up the volume of the speakers to appreciate it well.
And now we will hear the same fragment again but with Samsung TTS.
Conclution:
Don't ask me which of the two is better, because there are none, in fact they are not even regular. Maybe it's because I'm a demanding user, maybe because I'm used to Loquendo voices for computers, but it really seems like a horrible service to me and I modestly think that to have that, it is better to have nothing.
In future posts I will explain what free and paid alternatives are for this service and that they are worth it.
Good weekend!
