Having said that, it is starting to get quite expensive to even start a web business. Why? An increasing number of value-added services offered by plugin and theme developers and at the same time all the hosting services they cover, such as managed hosts.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, the webmaster had to do much of the heavy lifting himself. Now if you want new functionality on your site you can add a plugin and voila - new functionality has been added. The website needs a new skin or needs a redesign, use a template or theme. These new developments are largely good and have helped everyone (especially non-tech people) to start businesses on the web.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time it has created a new market, where the developers of themes and plugins can grow. There are great free themes, plugins, and very affordable hosting options! They may not be the best, but they are definitely reasonable options, especially if you consider that rising costs can make your new web business obsolete even before you make your first sale.<\/p>\n<p>So if you&#039;re a cash-strapped web entrepreneur looking to build a WordPress-powered web business, you&#039;ll want to keep reading! So what exactly are the costs associated with setting up a new web business?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hosting and domain purchase costs<\/li>\n<li>Site development<\/li>\n<li>Add must-have features to your website<\/li>\n<li>Marketing and achieving initial traction<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Some people may find my suggestions quite expensive, but I want to make sure that being frugal doesn&#039;t jeopardize a potentially successful business.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Hosting\"><\/span>Hosting<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><img alt='cloudways-hosting-review-4423317' loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-33474 size-full\" src='https:\/\/rmarketingdigital.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/cloudways-hosting-review-4423317.png' width=\"900\" height=\"500\"><\/p>\n<p>Hosting is an absolute must. Without it, you literally cannot have a website. Hardware costs have dropped considerably in the last decade. Reliable, high-quality hosting has become much more accessible and quite cheap by most people&#039;s standards.<\/p>\n<p>As we are looking for something affordable, we have two options: one <em>shared host<\/em> or a <em>cloud server<\/em>. Dedicated servers and cloud options are expensive and out of the question. VPS at the same time can be quite expensive, but there is a reason I include VPS as an option. Even though shared hosting is cheap, virtual private servers are also cheap for low-traffic websites.<\/p>\n<p>The shared hosting plan that most users turn to is Bluehost. With plans starting at $ 3.49 per month and a domain registration included, shared hosting is a great option for new or low-traffic websites.<\/p>\n<p>If you prefer to try cloud hosting, there are a range of options to consider. Cloud servers are great because they are pay-and-go plans, making them a very affordable option for new sites. We share a ton of WordPress cloud hosting options on our recent blog series, including Digital Ocean, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud. But if you want to simplify setup, give Cloudways a try. They guide you through the cloud hosting setup process and their plans start at just $ 5 per month. The cloud is an ideal choice if you are familiar with web development and if scalability is important to you. But whichever you choose, remember that you will probably at the same time need to buy a domain from a registrar like <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Namecheap\" href=\"https:\/\/www.namecheap.com\/\">cheap name<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Serving static content is an important aspect of site performance, especially on multi-media sites. StackPath CDN offers content for $ 10 per month for 1TB (when choosing a CDN only plan), I think it&#039;s a good deal! CDNs will play an important role in maintaining the performance of your site. If your website has no traffic using the cloud and a CDN (supposedly expensive high-end technology) will cost you only $ 10 per month. <strong>Without compromising performance at all! <\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Utilice-temas-gratuitos\"><\/span>Use free themes<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><img alt='free-themes-5584055' loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-36754 size-full\" src='https:\/\/rmarketingdigital.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/free-themes-5584055.jpg' width=\"800\" height=\"400\"><\/p>\n<p>WordPress has a large community of developers and web designers who constantly create great themes to help you. You can check out our recent post on the best places to find free themes and get started from there. And of course, let&#039;s not forget, we have some pretty awesome free WordPress themes in the house, so please check them out!<\/p>\n<p>A really good web developer can cost around $ 100 per hour and they are probably worth every penny, but I guess you can&#039;t afford that. Now if you are not satisfied with the level of customization that a free WordPress theme offers, you can go for a premium WordPress theme.<\/p>\n<p>Total is a multipurpose drag-and-drop WordPress theme and offers a ton of features to ensure that even someone who&#039;s not very comfortable with web design can create a great website. And at the same time we provide free support for 6 months \ud83d\ude42 When you compare the type of website a web developer is likely to create for $ 60 and measure it against the value that a theme like Total offers, the theme stands out by a mile! !<\/p>\n<p>So my advice is to take a look at the free themes (they are quite impressive) and then explore some of the theme stores and markets that offer premium themes. A web developer will definitely cost more than the $ 60 that a premium theme will cost. At the same time, you can always try things with a free theme for a while and then upgrade to a premium theme to create a dream site. I have compiled plugins that will provide the different functions that most WordPress sites require (IMHO) along with my selection of the best plugin to achieve said function. But remember to check if your theme or hosting provides these features before installing a plugin to prevent your website from bloating.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Security<\/strong> - Very important part of any site, especially if your site collects information like credit card numbers. Use a security plugin like <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Wordfence\u00c2 Security\" href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/wordfence\/\">Wordfence Security<\/a>  or <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"IThemes Security\" href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/better-wp-security\/\">IThemes Security<\/a> and an audit plugin like <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Sucuri Security\" href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/sucuri-scanner\/\">Sucuri Security<\/a> or <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"WP Security Audit Log\" href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/wp-security-audit-log\/\">WP security audit log<\/a>. One plug-in designed to protect and another to track everything that moves under the hood.<\/li>\n<li><strong>SEO<\/strong> - Create sitemaps and make the indispensable additions to each article on your website with <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Yoast SEO\" href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/wordpress-seo\/\">Yoast SEO<\/a>. The time spent getting the most out of search engine optimization translates to less money spent on marketing.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sharing socially<\/strong> - Use a minimal plugin to share on social networks like <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Social Sharing By Danny\" href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/dvk-social-sharing\/\">Share on social networks by Danny<\/a> or a more popular one like <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Mashshare\" href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/mashsharer\/\">Mashshare<\/a>. At the same time I found a particularly useful plugin to automate social sharing for your work on <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Next Script's Social Networks Auto-poster\" href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/social-networks-auto-poster-facebook-twitter-g\/\">Next Script social media auto-poster<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Spam protection<\/strong> - Akismet is very effective at handling spam comments, but you will need a plugin that can handle spam of all kinds. <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Spam bee\" href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/antispam-bee\/\">Spam bee<\/a> and <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/goodbye-captcha\/\">WPBruiser<\/a> they are powerful tools that will isolate your site against spam attacks.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Site backups<\/strong> - Use <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Updraft Plus &amp; Restoration\" href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/updraftplus\/\">Updraft Plus and restoration<\/a> to protect your site and give yourself peace of mind.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Contact Form<\/strong>s - <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Contact Form 7\" href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/contact-form-7\/\">Contact form 7<\/a> it adapts well to practically any type of site.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Caching Plugin<\/strong> - If you insist on using a CDN, use <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"W3 Total Cache\" href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/w3-total-cache\/\">W3 total cache<\/a> which is a stupendously powerful plugin. If you prefer to use a caching plugin that is easier to handle, try <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"WP Fastest Cache\" href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/wp-fastest-cache\/\">Faster WP cache<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Compatible with mobile devices<\/strong> - If your WordPress theme is unresponsive, you will want to consider a plugin like <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"WPTouch\" href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/wptouch\/\">WPTouch<\/a> to make your website mobile friendly.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mailing list<\/strong> - Use a freemium plugin like <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"MailChimp\" href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/mailchimp-for-wp\/\">MailChimp<\/a> to get started and build your mailing list. And use <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Optin Forms\" href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/optin-forms\/\">Optin forms<\/a> to increase the growth rate of your mailing list. You can use MailChimp for up to 2000 subscribers for free \ud83d\ude42<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ad management<\/strong> - Use a free plugin like <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Ad rotate\" href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/adrotate\/\">Rotate ad<\/a> to create ads.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you use some of the previously mentioned plugins or similar plugins to perform each of the above tasks that are regularly considered indispensable to run a good WordPress web business, you ensure that your website is:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Safe, protected with regularly scheduled backups.<\/li>\n<li>Fast and well cached.<\/li>\n<li>Optimized search engine.<\/li>\n<li>Social and friendly with contacts.<\/li>\n<li>On the way to a long mailing list.<\/li>\n<li>Automatically handles spam.<\/li>\n<li>Generate income.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All of this is pretty impressive when you consider that you don&#039;t have to spend a penny on these add-ons. Obviously, free plugins have their limitations compared to their premium counterparts.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Marketing-con-poco-presupuesto\"><\/span>Low budget marketing<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><img alt='business-analytics' loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-31753 size-full\" src='https:\/\/rmarketingdigital.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/marketing-wordpress-sites-9783082.jpg' width=\"950\" height=\"500\"><\/p>\n<p>Marketing is an important part of any business plan, and you don&#039;t need a big budget to get started. Here are some tips on how to advertise and increase interest in your business without going broke.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Create a <strong>Blog<\/strong>, write amazing things and offer valuable and tangible information to your readers. This is a great idea, if your business revolves around products or a service, although it may not work as well, if you want to start a purely multiple retail business.<\/li>\n<li><strong>to write<\/strong> For others, it may be other blogs (more popular than yours) or the best magazines in your niche.<\/li>\n<li>Build a <strong>mailing list<\/strong>, you can use this to leverage your marketing later on. Email marketing is much more effective (there is tremendous sampling bias, as only people interested in your business will bother to subscribe) and it costs nothing.<\/li>\n<li>Set up a cash <strong>affiliate program<\/strong>If people can bring you new business (especially if you sell something easily replicable like software), be willing to share a sizable chunk of your profits.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Commentary<\/strong>, participate and interact on the web and social networks. Don&#039;t do it just for the sake of doing it. Add something really valuable to the conversation. At the same time it means that you cannot automate yet. Use <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Social Mention\" href=\"http:\/\/www.socialmention.com\/\">Social mention<\/a> to find out who is talking about your niche.<\/li>\n<li>Find <strong>free credits<\/strong> for advertising on Facebook or Google (if you try Bluehost, they currently offer $ 50 in promotions). You should try to find similar offers for other social networks and search engines at the same time. PPC advertising is a tremendously competitive industry, take the opportunity.<\/li>\n<li>Offer <strong>trial periods<\/strong> &amp; freemium products, much of the WordPress plugin market works this way. It is true for almost all the plugins that I have suggested.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare <strong><a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Google Business Account\" href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/business\/\">Google Business Account<\/a><\/strong>  and capitalize on local reviews, which is especially important if you have a local or hyperlocal company.<\/li>\n<li>Use <strong>podcasts<\/strong>, It may work very well for you!<\/li>\n<li>Offer <strong>coupons<\/strong> and discounts during festive seasons like Black Friday. Offer people exclusive, time-bound offers that make your products more attractive.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Search engine optimization<\/strong> and I can&#039;t stress this enough. It all counts: the performance (speed) of your website, the freshness of the content, and even how often your site crashes. As search engines get smarter, your website will need to keep up. A plugin like Yoast SEO will only work at the same time as a solid website that works properly with good hardware. SEO is an integral part of marketing, don&#039;t take it lightly.
