class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>  Currently, there are eight default WordPress post types.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Send<\/li>\n<li>Page<\/li>\n<li>Attachment<\/li>\n<li>Revision<\/li>\n<li>Navigation menu<\/li>\n<li>Custom css<\/li>\n<li>Change sets<\/li>\n<li>User data request<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>  Most users are familiar with the two most common types of posts: posts and pages. Although similar, posts are time-based listings, while pages have a hierarchical structure, with parent&gt; child relationships. Also, Posts use taxonomies like Categories and Tags, while Pages don&#039;t, and Pages use Page Templates to display them, while Posts don&#039;t.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%C2%BFQue-son-los-tipos-de-publicaciones-personalizadas\"><\/span>What are custom post types?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>  WordPress allows users to create their own <em>Types of custom posts<\/em>, often referred to as <strong>CPT<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>  Some of the most common <em>Types of custom posts<\/em> you&#039;ve probably come across include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Films<\/li>\n<li>Testimonials<\/li>\n<li>Reviews<\/li>\n<li>products<\/li>\n<li>Events (edit)<\/li>\n<li>Briefcase<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>  Each of them defines a &quot;content type&quot;.<\/p>\n<p>  The edit screen will look very similar to the default page and post editors, as shown in this example of a movie custom post type.<\/p>\n<p> <img alt='movie-cpt-1024x460-6688694' src='https:\/\/rmarketingdigital.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/movie-cpt-1024x460-6688694.jpg'><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%C2%BFCuando-podria-necesitar-un-tipo-de-publicacion-personalizada\"><\/span>When might you need a custom post type?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>  A common use for a CPT is an e-commerce website. Products are a specific type of content that does not fit into the default Post or Page post types. Products should include a lot of additional information, such as price, size, and color.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Taxonomias-personalizadas-y-campos-personalizados\"><\/span>Custom taxonomies and custom fields<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>  A custom post type can also include custom taxonomies and custom fields.<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Taxonomias-personalizadas\"><\/span>Custom taxonomies<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>  Just as the post type uses category and tag taxonomies to help organize posts, a custom post type can use its own custom taxonomies. A movie critic CPT, for example, could use Genre as a custom taxonomy, to categorize movies into groups like SciFi, Romance, etc.<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Campos-Personalizados\"><\/span>Custom Fields<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>  Custom fields store additional information about the content.
