What is Gutenberg?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gutenberg is the replacement for the old Wysiwyg editor, allowing users a much better typing experience when creating content in WordPress. In this way, you can easily add images, videos, headlines, buttons, and other items in addition to your text. A post in Gutenberg is a collection of blocks, and this new structure is what makes it easy to create rich content in Gutenberg.<\/p>\n

Does Gutenberg replace Elementor? What is the difference between them?<\/strong><\/p>\n

No, Gutenberg does not replace Elementor. While they share the fact that they are both publishers, there is a fundamental gap between them.<\/p>\n

Elementor is a solution created for designers. If you need to design a website, use Elementor.<\/p>\n

Gutenberg was created to improve the user experience of the old WordPress editor, making it easier for bloggers and content writers to embellish their posts with images and other types of rich media.<\/p>\n

Will I need to use Gutenberg once it launches, or can I stick strictly to Elementor?<\/strong><\/p>\n

You can continue to use Elementor, just as you are used to.<\/p>\n

What about the classic WordPress editor?<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you are unwilling to use Gutenberg, you will still have the option to return to the previous editor<\/a>. Having said that, we highly recommend that you use Gutenberg. <\/p>\n

How does Gutenberg affect the future direction of Elementor?<\/strong><\/p>\n

We believe Elementor played an important role in verifying the role of visual design in every WordPress user's experience. This encourages us to continue developing Elementor in the same direction we started, opening new domains of possibilities to design in WordPress, some never seen before.<\/p>\n

How will the two interfaces work together?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Elementor and Gutenberg already work together seamlessly. As a user, you can easily decide which editor to use at any given time while editing your site.<\/p>\n

Create a blog post layout in Elementor, then implement it, so that every new post you write with Gutenberg automatically gets the Elementor layout. You can also easily embed Elementor blocks<\/a> on any Gutenberg page.<\/p>\n

Will I be able to use Elementor within Gutenberg or vice versa?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yes. Look at our Elementor Blocks for Gutenberg<\/a> plugin in the WordPress repository.<\/p>\n

Will Gutenberg blocks appear when I drag a text widget onto my page?<\/strong><\/p>\n

No. The text editor widget remains the same.<\/p>\n

Will there be fixes on Elementor-created websites once Gutenberg is launched? Will I need to make updates to my pages?<\/strong><\/p>\n

No, there will be no changes. In terms of design on Elementor, your sites and pages will remain the same, and you can pick up right where you left off.<\/p>\n
