One of the advantages of being an administrator of a Windows computer, regardless of the version we use, is that we can do and undo whatever we want, while user or guest accounts are limited so that you can practically not make modifications to the system. . This type of user is ideal for when we have small children at home<\/strong> or if the person who uses the computer usually does not have much knowledge and we do not expect him to make changes to the system or spend the day installing applications for no apparent reason, since in the end he will always call us to fix the problem.<\/p>\n

Even so, when we are sysadmins, we have some other limitation, a limitation that we can quickly jump over without making changes to the system. Occasionally, some other application needs us to run it as administrator<\/strong> so that you can make the necessary changes to the system to make it work. Running the application as Administrator is a very simple process that does not require us to enter the system configuration menus. Here we explain how we can do it.<\/p>\n

Run the application as administrator in Windows 10<\/h2>\n

  • First of all we must place ourselves in the location where the application is<\/strong> that we intend to run as administrator. A simple direct link from the desktop is sufficient to accomplish this task.<\/li>\n
  • Once located in the application icon to run as administrator we must right click to display the alternatives menu<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  • Of all the alternatives that will appear, we must click on Execute as an administrator<\/strong>, an option that is preceded by a shield equivalent to the one found in the Windows 10 security alternatives.<\/li>\n
  • Then the application will be executed and the system will ask us for confirmation if we intend let this application make changes to the computer.<\/strong> Click YES and the application will run with these permissions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    If we are not system administrators and we intend to run an application in this way, we will need to have the administrator password at hand<\/strong> or to the administrator available to enter, since otherwise we will not be able to perform this task.<\/p>\n
