How to change auto-save time in Word

Make sure to create a restore point in case something goes wrong.

1.Open Word or press Windows key + R, then type "winword" (without quotes) and press Enter to open Microsoft Word.

2. Next, to change the auto-save time interval in Word, click the Office icon at the top or in the latest version of Word, click File.

3.Click Word Options and switch to the Save tab in the menu on the left.

4.In the Save documents section make sure the "Save AutoRecover information every" checkbox is checked and adjust the time according to your preferences.

5. Click Ok to save the changes.

6.If you don't want Word to automatically save your documents, basically go back to the Save Documents option and uncheck the "Save AutoRecover information every" checkbox.
