My changes do not appear online, what can I do?

Note: The first thing to try is to open your website in Incognito mode and see if your changes appear. If they appear, it is probably a local caching problem. If they still don't appear, it's probably a server caching problem.

  • If your styles are not applied after saving, it could be due to a caching problem. When your styles are not applied online, regenerate the CSS via Elementor> Tools> Regenerate CSS in your WordPress dashboard, then make sure that clear all cache shapes including you browser cache, you WP cache (your WP caching plugin if you have one), and your server cache, If you have one. (In this case, you can contact your hosting provider for help clearing the server cache.) Once all cache is cleared, save your changes: https://codex.wordpress.org/I_Make_Changes_and_Nothing_Happens
  • This problem can also be caused by issue related to the topic if it affects only the typeface (font size, font height, etc.). For example, the CSS of a theme that overrides that of Elementor. To make sure it's a theme issue, switch to a default WordPress theme like Twenty Nineteen and if it resolves the issue, contact your theme developers.
  • In some cases, it will be possible to solve the problem by change the CSS printing method in "Elementor> Settings> Advanced«In your WordPress dashboard.
  • If you use another page builder, you can override content created with Elementor and you will see content written through the conflicting page builder online and not content written with Elementor. To work around this problem, save the page as a template and use the template on a new page. See the following article to see how it is possible to save pages as templates: https://docs.elementor.com/article/60-library
  • It is also not recommended edit back and forth between Elementor and the classic WordPress editor as this can lead to content problems. Elementor is a website builder and the classic WordPress editor is an editor. The way they handle content is different.
  • SVG images not shown if they don't have a width set in pixels.
  • HTML tags that are not closed It can also lead to layout issues, so if you added any HTML code in the HTML widget or another widget, make sure all your tags are open and closed properly.
  • Mixed content problems can also cause problems. To go WordPress Dashboard> Settings> General and make sure that both the WordPress address (URL) and Site address (URL) are the same, and that both are http: // or https: //. If you have mixed http / https content issues, you will often see missing images or icons on your live site.
