Design troubleshooting

Do you have design problems? These are the most common problems, causes, and solutions available.

General design issues

Cache issues

Very often the cache is causing the layout issue you see.

You can first try to simply clear your browser's cache, use a different browser, or view in an incognito browser. If this doesn't help, follow these steps:

  1. Go Elementor> Tools> Regenerate CSS and click the Regenerate files button.
  2. Update your page. You may need to make a small change to enable the Refresh button.
  3. Clear all cache, including server cache if it exists, WordPress caching plugins you are using, and your own browser cache. You can also try checking in another browser or an incognito browser.

Plugin conflicts

To find a plugin that is causing the design issue, disable all your plugins except Elementor and Elementor Pro, if applicable. If this solves the problem, reactivate each plugin one by one, until you detect the problem plugin. If you find it, contact that plugin support for help or use a different plugin.

Thematic problems

Change your theme (temporarily) to a default WP theme like Twenty Nineteen to see if your theme is causing a problem. If so, contact the theme developers for help or use a different theme.

Version issues

Design issues can also be caused by using an older version of Elementor. Sometimes it is not obvious that there is a plugin update available. To go Control Panel> Updates and click the Check again button to be sure.

IOS problems

Column layout issues can occur in older versions of iOS due to the use of the CSS grid by Elementor. iOS supports the CSS grid starting with iOS 9.3. Older iOS versions may have column layout issues.
