In Elementor Version 2.2 We added a useful layout feature to help you clear clutter from your pages.

Browser is a navigation tree pane that provides easy access to all editor elements with a single click. Browser allows the user to drag items across the page and edit them, quickly and easily.

Browser it is particularly useful for long pages or pages with a complex multi-layer layout and for elements that combine Z-Index, less margin, absolute position, etc. Allows you to access item identifiers that may be located behind other items.



Access browser

You can access Navigator in one of three easy ways:

  1. Right-click on any item and then click Browser. This will automatically redirect you to the specific item in the navigation tree.
  2. Click the items button file-oyqq094xjd-2243447 in the panel footer.
  3. Use the keyboard shortcut Cmd / Ctrl + I.

Note: if the user is an editor and the «Access to edit content only«Is marked for the editor role in the role manager settings, then the browser function will not be available to the user.


Choose an item to edit

Click once on any item to immediately move to its Edit panel.


Rearrange items

Drag any item up or down and drop it before or after any other item.


Right click options

Right-click an item to enable all the normal context menu options such as Edit, Duplicate, Copy, Paste, etc.


Hide / Show elements

Click on the item Watch button file-5q2s5jgvjd-8410568 to show or hide the item, allowing you to better focus on the layout.

Note: This will not affect the interface of your website.


Name elements

  1. Double click on the element name. The area will change to a blue highlight, indicating that you are in insert / edit mode.
  2. Enter a custom name to help you easily identify the item at a later time.

Collapse / expand an item

Click the arrow button for an individual item to expand or collapse that item.


Collapse / Expand all items

Click on the file-dengyvtenr-4452827 or down file-udiuziaxzi-6524976 arrow button at the top left of the Navigator panel to expand or collapse all items at once.


Position navigation panel

Float

Drag the browser panel anywhere on the page

Dock

Pin the Navigator panel to the side of the screen by placing it within the vertical blue drop zone that appears when the panel is dragged near the right side of the screen.
